Position Summary:
The Program Director, Nuclear Quality Assurance is responsible for leading the execution and implementation of the Nuclear Quality Assurance Program for Zachry Nuclear, Incorporated projects. This role ensures compliance with applicable nuclear codes and standards, including ASME Section III, ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, and other applicable codes and statutes across all field construction and procurement activities. The Program Director will work closely with project management, engineering, supply chain, field quality teams, and regulatory agencies overseeing portions of Zachry Nuclear Engineering (ZNE) and Zachry Nuclear Construction (ZNC) as well as other affiliated Zachry Business Units in the execution of nuclear quality related tasks. The position will oversee the qualification and oversight of personnel engaged in nuclear-related field and fabrication work, ensuring they meet the necessary standards and certifications.
They will also be responsible for overseeing the qualification and performance of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring they comply with nuclear quality requirements. This includes conducting or participating in audits to evaluate vendor capabilities, adherence to safety-related standards, and qualifications.
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation is a critical aspect of this position. The Program Director will establish and manage records of nonconformances and corrective actions and ensure that all quality documentation packages meet ASME codes and nuclear safety requirements. Experience and expertise in Commercial Grade Dedication will also be essential in supporting the qualification of items and services used in nuclear applications.
Additional qualifications include extensive experience in nuclear construction quality assurance, with a strong focus on field execution, in-depth knowledge of ASME Section III, ASME NQA-1, and other governing codes of construction applicable to modern nuclear construction projects, proven ability to lead QA programs in a construction environment, and strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.

• - Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction-related discipline from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Required:
• 3-5 years of in a managerial or directorship role for nuclear construction.
• 3-5 years as a certified Nuclear QA Audit Team member or Lead Auditor.
• Minimum 10 years of nuclear specific construction experience with at least 5 years in a QA role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred:
• Experience with NQA-1 program development and regulatory audits
Certifications:
• - Certified NQA-1 Lead Auditor or equivalent certification
• - Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ CQE, CQA) is a plus

- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the NQA program (20%)
- Ensure compliance with ASME NQA-1, ASME Section III, and applicable regulations (15%)
- Develop and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures (10%)
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and industry groups (e.g., NIAC, NUPIC) (10%)
- Lead internal and external quality audits and assessments (10%)
- Manage quality assurance staff and ensure training and qualification (10%)
- Oversee corrective and preventive action programs (10%)
- Report quality performance to executive leadership (10%)
- Stay current with industry standards and regulatory changes (5%)
