Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Power Generation Strategy: Develop the roadmap for onsite power generation, distributed energy resources (DERs), energy storage, and grid-interconnection solutions to support Tract's datacenter growth.
- System Design & Engineering: Deliver concept-to-commissioning solutions for high-voltage and medium-voltage systems, substations, onsite generation plants (gas engines, turbines, fuel cells, renewables), and interconnection to utilities and ISOs.
- Power System Analytics: Own and guide advanced analytical studies including load flow, short-circuit, transient stability, harmonic analysis, HVDC integration, and reliability modeling using industry tools (e.g., PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP).
- Reliability & Compliance: Ensure designs comply with IEEE/ANSI, IEC, UL, NERC, NPCC, and regional standards. Incorporate redundancy, spinning reserve, and system resilience to achieve "five-nines" availability at the datacenter rack level.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with internal engineering, construction, operations, energy, and sustainability teams to deliver scalable, standardized solutions. Serve as the technical authority influencing decisions from concept through deployment.
- Supplier & Partner Management: Engage with OEMs, EPCs, utilities, and technology partners to evaluate solutions, validate performance, and drive innovation in power generation technologies.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Develop creative solutions that balance cost, performance, and environmental goals. Advance adoption of renewable fuels, new technologies such as fuel cells, and emerging clean generation technologies.
- Mentorship & Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor engineers across regions, codify design standards, and ensure best practices are disseminated across Tract's portfolio.
