Job Description:
As the Insights Lead, you will oversee the insights and intelligence agenda within Castrol Europe and be responsible for ensuring a deep internal understanding of our customers (including industrial), channels, and consumers. You will champion the voice of the customer and consumer and deliver insights & intelligence to support Castrol Europe.
Your work will play a crucial role in delivering strategic and actionable insights to the PU, Networks of Excellence (NoEs) and the wider business, ensuring all business decisions are informed by relevant data and insight. You will implement required key research projects and work closely with the wider I&I Insights team and the hub to ensure accuracy of insights that contribute to strategic planning and decision-making. Your role will be essential in supporting the Marketing organisation and the wider business to improve their use of data and insight to deliver better customer and business outcomes.

Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for owning and leading the delivery of the insight strategy for the Castrol Europe PU.
- Provide B2B and B2C insights, data & intelligence for regional marketing strategy & projects by leading ad hoc research projects in support of strategy.
- Coordinate insight activities and provide actionable customer and consumer insights and intelligence gained from primary research and other sources to influence decision-making processes.
- Analyse and collate data, in collaboration with the Hub, to deliver accurate and meaningful insights that inform strategy for both B2C and B2B customers. Oversee the relationships with 3rd party data providers to the business (E.g. GFK, GIPA etc.).
- Support the delivery of key research projects, ensuring findings are well-organised, aligned with business objectives and deliver meaningful insights for both B2C and B2B customers.
- Contribute to providing strategic direction and recommendations based on customer and market insights.
- Contribute to the monitoring of brand health metrics and customer segmentation initiatives.
- Management of the Castrol Europe Research budget. Create regular budget reports to help monitor spending against activities.
- Continuously monitor advancements in market research methodologies, insights practices, and new technologies.
- Support the Marketing organisation and the wider business to improve their use of data and insight to deliver better outcomes through ongoing support, coaching and mentoring.
- Responsible for delivering actionable insights that meaningfully contribute to the team achieving KPIs of optimising ROMI, CLV, and channel effectiveness across B2B, B2C and B2B2C marketing activities.
Role Requirements
- Solid experience in Market research, analytics and data to generate actionable insights, preferably in a multi-national matrix organisation
- Excellent project management experience
- Strong finance and performance management experience
- Substantial experience in B2B and B2C marketing
- Substantial experience of working with agencies across multiple channels and countries
- Experience of working in a matrix organization with complex interfaces
- Familiarity with research methodologies and reporting frameworks.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure the accuracy of insights.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to support collaboration across teams.
