KBR is looking for a Facilities Manager who is familiar with a wide variety of large business building maintenance and associated building systems. Typical building systems includes but is not limited to, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, and exterior building maintenance. The Facility Manager will also be responsible for interfacing with contractors and working with third party vendors. The Facility Manager must be able to multitask, prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. They should be familiar with Microsoft office suite, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. They will work with various personnel to maintain a safe work environment for employees. Facilities managers are responsible for working with service provider for janitorial, security and parking, to make sure the surrounding environment is in a suitable condition to work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Performs a variety of facility and building-related activities such as overseeing maintenance, repair, or construction work.
2. Perform daily checks of the facility for any anomalies or safety concerns.
3. Coordinates power outages to the facility with a variety of departments and organizations.
4. Creating and monitoring facility work requests and work orders to repair building discrepancies.
5. Coordinate outside companies and contractors to perform facility work in the different buildings in the 30 complexes.
6. Work closely with facility contractors on maintenance services to include electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire detection/ protection and access controls, lighting, janitorial, security and waste removal.
7. Perform duties of MCC Safety Representative and perform monthly facility safety inspections.
8. Fire Warden responsibilities during emergencies or drills.
9. Works with facility users and locksmiths to provides room access approvals and room codes access in the facility.
10. Coordinates with fire technicians on fire drills, responses to fire alarms and facility users' evacuation during alarms.
11. Works closely with NASA Facility Management and other on-site contractors with responsibilities in the facility.
12. Support emergency preparedness plans for the facility.
Education Requirements:
Typically holds a bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, business management or related field and 8 years of work experience in the field or related area; or the equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.
Hours:
Normally day shift hours, can vary based on facility schedules and events.
