The Team Leader, Activations, Sponsorships, and Consumer Events will oversee the execution of all consumer events and sponsorship activations for one of the biggest corporates in the UAE. This role is responsible for developing and driving these initiatives into valuable marketing assets, ensuring seamless execution across all relevant functions. The role involves acting as the single point of contact with event bodies and sponsorship entities, coordinating resources across the company, and working with activation agencies to bring events to life. Additionally, this position is accountable for developing event activation strategies, deciding on event sponsorships, and integrating brands to drive recognition, sales, and consumer affinity. The company boasts sponsorship assets of over 5-6 and participates in more than 7-8 events throughout the year, maintaining a very busy calendar.

Key Responsibilities
Event and Sponsorship Management:
- Lead and manage the planning and execution of all consumer events and sponsorship activations.
- Act as the primary point of contact with event bodies and sponsorship entities, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Pull resources from various functions such as Procurement, Retail, Commercial, Legal, Communications, and Marketing to bring events to life.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of event strategies.
Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement event activation strategies, determining which events to sponsor and how to drive ROI from these initiatives.
- Create comprehensive event strategies that integrate brands to enhance recognition, sales, and consumer affinity.
Agency Collaboration:
- Work closely with activation agencies to execute high-quality events and sponsorship activations.
- Ensure agencies adhere to brand guidelines and deliver exceptional results.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor a team of 3 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing events and sponsorship activations, preferably within the retail or marketing industry.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong track record of developing and executing successful event strategies that drive ROI.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong marketing background with an understanding of measurement frameworks.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in event management and sponsorship activation tools and software.
- Analytical skills to evaluate event performance and make data-driven decisions
