Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • The jobholder will be responsible for product supply customers with effectiveness, efficiency and accurateness without disregarding any safety measurement
  • Ensure accuracy of transactions and inventory and ensure both fleet & driver engaged in 3PL transportation is compliance with DSP requirement
  • To ensure any distribution mode within control including Route Optimization and Cost Management
  • To ensure customer expectation is exceeded and in full on time delivery are maintain with high accuracy of order delivered
  • Leading of Exim activities within the organization and align with International Trade Regulations
  • Responsible for logistic supplier management, contract compliance and quality assurance
  • Logistics Data Analysis and Efficiency Improvement
  • Support in logistics Strategy Development and Implementation

Warehouse

  • Handle 3PL and lead the warehouse operation team operation to ensure productivity and efficiency in a safe manner
  • Track and control operational critical metrics to ensure service delivery and operation efficiency, e.g. Stock accuracy, Rework/Retest Status & etc. Periodic review on the warehouse storage capacity and handling capability, resource planning, process effectiveness and operation efficiency to ensure the warehouse operates at an optimum level.
  • Collect and analyze data to seek opportunities of continuous improvement to sustain the service and cost competitiveness. Perform and Coordinate competitiveness initiates to ensure on time transition and excellence in execution.

Distribution:

  • Lead all transportation functions as it relates to carrier selection, carrier contracts and carrier performance
  • Assures timely and cost-effective delivery service levels
  • Uses creative problem solving and communication skills to resolve issues and conflicts with carriers or transporters. Formulates strategies, tactics and action plans to achieve results
  • Develop and handle transportation travel demand model and traffic forecasting. Travel demand modeling includes destination choice, distribution model as well as integrated land use or other transportation model.
  • Develop new processes and re-engineer current processes to reduce transportation costs and improve efficiency
  • Recommend proposals to improve customer satisfaction and reduce freight cost
  • Proactively communicate and advise on trends, changes in the transportation industry, or other logistics related factors that may impact the transportation of product
  • Responsible for the efficient loading and unloading of trucks, managing work safety, training, and regulatory compliance.

Export / Import

  • Lead import and export activities in such a way that all deadlines can be met in an effective and efficient way. Monitor shipments and Customs clearance. Communicate status, delays to appropriate parties. Resolve shipment issues and possess the ability to resolve when to elevate to management for resolution.
  • Ensure HRA compliance related to all Imports and Exports activities.
  • Ensure compliance with COC policies, custom and tax procedures in performing all import and export activities conducted for the organization
  • Handling contracts of custom broker and freight to ensure support in cost saving and cost avoidance objectives - including review of existing custom broker contracts.
  • Handle all financial duties regarding import and export processes in an effective and responsible way.
  • Accurate and timeouts reporting relevant management information to related stake holders
  • Maintain Import and Export document files in accordance with government regulations and Company policy.
  • Conduct periodic assessments of custom broker performance and import/export activities and direct other business and program activities that impact import/export compliance

Project Management

  • Support to define in project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the detailed execution of projects.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and bring up issues to management as needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES :

Education

  • University degree and equivalent work experience, in an appropriate technical and commercial field.

Experience

  • 5 years working experience in Warehousing, Distribution or Logistic Field
  • Knowledge in Warehouse & Distribution Management
  • Knowledge of carrier management, Truck Load (TL) and Less-than-Truckload (LTL) operation
  • Understanding budget implications and cost savings initiatives
  • Proficiency of ERP system (JDE, SAP, or Oracle) and MS office
  • Knowledge in project management is advantage

  • Heavy coordination with cross-functional departments such as Integrated Supply Chain to ensure proper delivery of products.
  • Must demonstrate ability to multitask and work in a fast pace environment with minimum supervision.
  • Requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of local government regulatory of transportation, export and import activities.
  • Strong communication skills across broad network of contacts.
