The ABB Measurement & Analytics plant in Quebec is a global leader in spectroscopy.
Our contract engineering department is the largest Canadian supplier of space optical sensors used, among other things, for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions and global weather forecasting. Our plant is also recognized for its expertise in developing and manufacturing various products that meet a wide range of industrial analysis needs on a daily basis.
By joining one of the largest engineering departments in Quebec, you will actively contribute to our clients' projects as well as to the research and development of our technology. You will be part of a dynamic and stimulating multidisciplinary team.
You will assist the senior manager with engineering contract projects within the Measurement & Analytics business unit in Quebec City (Canada). You will successfully execute projects of varying complexity with budgets ranging from $1M to $50M. Your clients and projects are diverse and include, notably, the Canadian and European space agencies. Reporting to the project office, you will ensure project delivery by rigorously coordinating communications and follow-ups with all stakeholders. Under your leadership, your team will be committed to developing cutting-edge products within budget, meeting strict quality standards, and complying with the demanding requirements of our clientele.

Your Role: Take on the Challenge
- Lead the project team with clear guidance, tasks, and milestones, while motivating and providing feedback.
- Manage all aspects of the project in accordance with customer requirements and ensure all technical, safety, quality, and financial objectives are met.
- Oversee the development of project plan documents regarding scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.
- Monitor each stage of project implementation to ensure best practices in cost control, resource use, risk management, and health, safety, and environment.
- Identify, analyze, and manage project risks, regularly sharing lessons learned.
- Coordinate contract negotiations and material procurement in collaboration with the supply chain.
- Negotiate project amendments and changes.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
What You Need:
- At least 5 years of experience in project or team management (with concrete achievements), including international experience.
- A collaborative, solution-oriented attitude and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong analytical, risk management, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Business acumen, a good understanding of customer needs, and the ability to maintain strong client relationships.
- French is required. English is necessary for regular communication with clients outside Quebec.
