Vestas Wind are looking for an experience Regional Service Manager to join our team in Melbourne to help lead our service operations region. As the successful candidate your will join an enthusiastic and collaborative team working with our wind farm operations teams across Victoria and Tasmania.

As a Regional Manager overseeing service sites Across Australia and New Zealand you will be responsible for ensuring optimal operational performance and safety across the region.

Your role will involve leading a team, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring adherence to all operational protocols. You will be managing budgets, analyzing financial data, and implementing cost-saving strategies.

Additionally, you will manage customer relationships, negotiating issues to maintain high satisfaction and retention. A critical part of your role will be to identify and address underperforming sites, turning them around by implementing recovery strategies.

By mentoring your team and ensuring all contractual obligations are met, you'll contribute to the continued success and ensure all sites operate efficiently and in line with the organization's goals.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate an environment focused on safety at the site, promoting continuous improvement, empower your team to efficiently operate and maintain wind turbine plants
  • Establish robust partnerships with clients to guarantee the fulfillment of commitments
  • Manage costs adequately to meet budgetary targets for service contracts
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance


Qualifications
  • 15+ years of management experience in a related service field
  • Preferably hold an Engineering background or a Diploma with a Business Management
  • Wind experience is preferred


Competencies
  • Proven track record with leadership qualities, stake holder management, Ability to handle customer escalations, Conflict resolution, ability to lead large team and staffing for effective utilization
  • Experience in Wind energy/ Power industry will be advantageous
  • Proficient in business and assessing organizational effectiveness
  • Experience in coaching and motivating teams
  • Proficiency in safety programs, motivated and accountable, with a proficiency in problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Previous budgeting and project management including negotiating agreements and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • High on work ethics and integrity
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Strong business acumen with a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset
  • Financial insight with experience in full P&L responsibility, including knowledge of key figures and KPls
  • Driver's license and passport required
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing, to effectively communicate across the organization
