PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for receiving, storing, preparation of manifests, issuing materials and equipment, including spare parts and consumables.
  • Oversees inventory controls, including maintaining accurate records of all materials, including physical counts and tracking of inventory levels.
  • Coordinating the movement of materials to and from the rig, including loading and unloading, and liaising with onshore logistics team.
  • Check for discrepancies in materials received against delivery notes and outward manifest, issue Report for incorrect items.
  • Track progress of all materials and adequate stock levels of equipment spares and consumables are in place.
  • Ensuring all materials and equipment are handled and stored safely, and that lifting equipment is properly certified.
  • Liaising with various teams, including drilling supervisors, engineers, and onshore logistics personnel, to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintaining accurate records of all material movements, requisitions, and purchase orders.
  • Prepare periodic reports for the Drilling Supervisor and shore-based Logistics Manager as required.
  • Ensure that all hazardous and non-hazardous wastes are correctly labelled and packaged prior to shipment.
  • Review regularly obsolete and surplus parts and advise key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring emergency response resources are available and operational.
  • Monitoring and minimizing logistical costs, including vessel and helicopter usage.
  • Ensuring personnel are properly trained and documentation is up to date.
  • Other duties as requirement.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive experience in the drilling industry, particularly in materials coordination
  • Hold up-to-date certificates in Valid Dangerous Goods by Air and Sea, Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET), Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) and an Offshore Medical Certificate
  • Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and maintain accurate records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders
  • Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues related to materials and logistics
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures relevant to offshore operations
  • Proficiency in using relevant software for inventory management and record-keeping
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulation and standards
  • Fluent in technical French and English.
