Purpose of the role
The 2go Development Lead reports to the General Manager Retail & Convenience and is responsible for the leadership and development of the bp2go c-store programme, including direct responsibility for the development of the food/coffee offer, and oversight of the merchandise programme. The role also supports site conversions and upgrades, all communications and member compliance, and works closely with the 2go board.

Purpose of the role
The 2go Development Lead reports to the General Manager Retail & Convenience and is responsible for the leadership and development of the bp2go c-store programme, including direct responsibility for the development of the food/coffee offer, and oversight of the merchandise programme. The role also supports site conversions and upgrades, all communications and member compliance, and works closely with the 2go board.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversight of the 2go merchandise offer as part of the broader bp c-store programme
- Development and delivery of the 2go food and coffee offer, including supplier negotiations, range reviews and implementation
- Development and oversight of the food safety and quality system for the food and coffee offer.
- Partnering with 2go program members to drive in store execution, standards and value and supporting implementation of Wild Bean Cafe conversions in 2go sites.
- Management of day-to-day 2go c store programme and associated activities, communications, information sharing and board papers
- Development and delivery of 2go AGM and Tradeshow
Essential Skills and Experience
- Understanding of a dealer/franchise operating model and ability to achieve within this framework
- Strong indirect people leadership capability with a proven track record of achieving results with multiple stakeholders and independent ownership model
- Senior retail/FMCG experience, preferably in the food industry (5 years+)
- Financial literacy: ability to analyse financial results, sales and performance
- Presentation and negotiations skills
- Proficiency with digital workplace tools such as Microsoft office applications
- Understanding of food safety legislation and requirements advantageous
- Travel as needed within NZ/overseas
