Job Description Summary
The Shipping & Receiving Materials Technician role is a hands-on, in-person materials validation role located in Schenectady, NY. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in material movements essential for a successful production environment supporting manufacturing. This person will demonstrate strong leadership ability with attention to detail. Within this role, the successful candidate will also validate materials supplied to manufacturing to maintain quality variables and inventory accuracy.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Materials Technician, you will:
  • Help develop procedures in all areas within shipping and receiving.
  • Assist with SAP transactions & Clerical responsibilities such as receipts of FTZ material, material movements, & creation of FedEx Labels, etc.
  • Audit transaction records for accuracy.
  • Assist in eAndon notification escalation and resolution.
  • Assist with pitch tracking system escalation and resolution.
  • Assist in cycle count process to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Work on developing processes to standardize work.
  • Assist in releasing information/paperwork to warehouse floor as jobs move through the factory.
  • Work with manufacturing team to improve overall processes.
  • Give hourly EE's technical guidance

Qualification:
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment/office setting (OR High School Diploma / GED plus a minimum of 3 years working in a manufacturing environment/office setting)

  • Green Belt or Black Belt Certification or equivalent Quality certification

Pay Transparency

The weekly pay for this position is $1483.14 The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.

This posting is expected to close on Aug 14, 2025, or when suitable candidate identified.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
