Substation Controls Engineering Drafting Specialists help manage document control systems, CAD software, and records management processes. They develop and maintain standards, tools, and procedures for these systems, while also providing mentorship to team members on their proper use. This role is also responsible for developing construction drawings including detailed schematics and wiring diagrams for substation electrical components. The role works closely with other Engineering Specialists to ensure CAD systems remain stable, issues are resolved in a timely manner, and new software and updates are adopted with minimal issues.

Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Reliable internet and stable work-from-home environment, or reliable source of transportation to office in Kent, WA
Desired Qualifications
- Utility experience with protection and control systems for 12kV and above substations
- Experience developing one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Thorough understanding of NERC CIP standards and compliance requirements
- Experience working on hybrid drawings utilizing Descartes to edit TIF and CIT raster images.
- Proficiency in ProjectWise Explorer file management system
- Experience verifying revision integrity that document control storage system and CAD files match.
- Experience in wire checking schematics for wiring diagrams.
- Experience working on manufacturer provided CAD drawings.
- Experience working on CAD drawings to scale.
- Experience in building and maintaining block or cell libraries.
- Experience conducting field site visits for drawing verification.
- Experience completing design transmittals to be submitted to document control for processing.
