Job Purpose
Perform assessment, documentation and organization of tasks related to quality assurance to support the efficiency and effectiveness of organization's successful implementation of the F&B strategy. Will be in charge
of developing a complete QA program that not only safeguards the quality of our products, but also fosters a "quality culture," in which all employees become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in both production
and the finished product.
Job Specific Accountabilities
Implementation of QA/ QC standards:
• Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards for exiting sites as well as during the opening of new sites.
• Perform routine inspections and quality tests. Identify and resolve workflow and production issues.
• Carefully maintain complaint and non-conformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions
• Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports. Record inspection results by completing reports and summarizing data into quality database.
• Develop Food Safety SOP Manual for production and design, with improvements as needed, and create testing protocols for implementation.
• Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements. Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
• Address and discuss recurring issues with team leader and propose solutions.
• Assist in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as environmental, health and safety goals.
• Analyse and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements (ADFCA regulations)
• Develop or update company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as proper documentation of complaints.
Training Oasis F&B employees:
• Train the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence and brief them about ADFCA regulations regarding food safety and food retail.
• Participates in the creation and execution of site Training program. Applies learning and development expertise to influence the development of effective training tools. Assists with the development of broad, long-term, and short-term training initiatives.
• Monitors learning effectiveness on an ongoing basis and keeps managers apprised of projects' status. Provides insight on trends and performance. Maintains current knowledge of operations and systems
including new and/or upgraded systems, policies, and procedures, new products, and initiatives in order to serve as a credible instructor.
• Develops on job assessment, pre and post training assessment tools to evaluate individual performance of participants to each training program.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in food science, hospitality, business administration or related fields.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• 6 years of experience in F&B industry, including at least 3 years Quality Assurance/ Quality Check
Division.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations, such as HACCP, ISO, and FSSC.
• Proficiency in coffee quality evaluation and grading methods, such as SCA cupping protocol and
Arabica Q grading system.
• Expertise in developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures and ensuring
compliance and consistency across the organization.
• Experience in training and coaching staff on quality assurance best practices and techniques.
• Communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Professional Certifications
• SCA Barista Professional.
• Arabica Q Grade
• Any other related food certificate is an advantage.
