About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of energy generation and battery projects from pre-delivery through to commercial operations. This includes development, design, procurement, permitting, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover to operations.
You'll be responsible for:
Location: Southbank, Melbourne or Pelican Point, Adelaide
Work Mode: Hybrid - 4 days onsite/office, 1-day WFH
Travel: Regular travel between Southbank and Pelican Point
Flexibility is offered; however, the role requires presence at our Southbank office or Pelican Point site 4 days per week. If based in Melbourne, regular travel to Adelaide is essential to collaborate with the project team

About the Role

You'll be responsible for:
- Delivering complex infrastructure projects, ideally within energy generation, battery storage, or related sectors
- Overseeing project planning, scope, risk, and resource management
- Leading and developing a high-performing project team through direction-setting, coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Managing stakeholder engagement, reporting, and project documentation
- Ensuring compliance with HSEQ and regulatory requirements
- Driving project close-out and successful transition to operations
- Supporting business development and contributing to strategic initiatives
- Managing budgets, schedules, and project resources across all phases
- Leading assurance reviews and implementing solutions to mitigate risks and issues

About You
You're a qualified and experienced project leader with a strong background in energy infrastructure and a passion for delivering complex projects.
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Extensive experience in construction project management, including large-scale, multi-disciplinary energy projects in the Australian market
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing project teams, with strong leadership, coaching, and performance management capabilities
- Deep knowledge of conventional and renewable power generation technologies, and a strong understanding of Australian construction standards and regulatory frameworks
- Expertise in project planning, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and contract negotiation
- Proficient in project management tools and systems (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, ERP platforms)
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in dynamic environment
