Position Overview
Chevron is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Paid Media Investment Strategist to help lead the development, deployment, and performance optimization of our corporate paid media efforts. This role plays a key part in ensuring Chevron's campaigns reach the right audiences with precision, creativity, and impact.
This individual will serve as the primary driver of media strategy and execution - collaborating with agencies, publishers, and internal partners to ensure media investments are smart, scalable, and aligned with our brand and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage Chevron's corporate paid media investments across audience segments .
- Serve as the day-to-day lead with external media agencies and key publishers to guide planning, execution, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate closely with Integrated Channels, Creative and Analytics teams to bring campaigns to market across paid, owned, and shared media.
- Optimize media spend for performance and efficiency, leveraging data and platform insights to refine tactics and messaging.
- Stay ahead of platform, format, and audience trends; recommend innovative opportunities that align with Chevron's brand and business goals.
- Standardize media planning, reporting, and benchmarking to drive consistency, agility, and best practice adoption.
- Champion the use of AI and automation to streamline processes and unlock smarter investment decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or a related field.
- 8 + years of experience in media strategy, planning, and investment (agency or brand side).
- Strong understanding of digital and traditional media channels, including programmatic and paid social.
- Experience managing external agency relationships and internal cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in planning for both large audiences and small, niche audiences
- Analytical mindset with comfort in data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to think strategically while also managing tactical execution.
- Knowledge of media buying platforms, tools, and measurement frameworks.
- Curiosity for emerging tech, AI, and trends reshaping the media landscape.
