Gas Plant Operator

Summary

Operate and monitor all equipment on the Gas Compression system, Refrigeration System, Natural Gas Liquids striping and Propane production. Perform all the duties in the control room. Maintain proper records and housekeeping duties. Perform other duties as outlined by supervisor or lead person.

Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. Gas Plant Operator duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Know how to start and stop the Gas Compressors in a safe and efficient manner and bring them on and offline. Ariel Gas Compressors.
• Maintain the determined Gas and Propane production
• Know how to operate a refrigeration system.
• Be proficient in readings piping & Instrumentation diagrams
• Be familiar with electrical equipment
• Control and operate any piece of equipment in the Gas Plant (both in manual and auto)
• Regularly monitor the plant emissions and take corrective action to prevent violations
• Monitor, test and maintain Gas Plant auxiliary equipment
• Follow Company Policies and Procedures
• Other Duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
• GED or High School Diploma
