Context :

The Expertise Center MAS and the Business Platform Power Trading and Commercial are looking for a junior Trader to join the Power NWE Trading desk

S&EM is at the heart of ENGIE's power activities. It's providing hedging solutions for renewable, thermal assets and downstream customers. Our objective is "to accelerate the energy transition through market solutions".

The Power Trading NWE (within BP Power Trading & Commercial, trading desk ), consists of 3 sub teams, ABT, RES and BESS trading. Global goal is serving the Group by managing all Power exposure for Upstream (including wind, solar and BESS for own assets as for 3th party developers) and Downstream, with a clear mission of risk reduction and Pnl optimization. The desk continuously strives for excellence energy management through systems, models and risk management expertise for a wide set of products ( VPP's, hourly shapes, intermittency, VPS, vanilla options, illiquid markets, long term products, Xborder capacities, solar shapes, BESS ...)

Role

As junior Power Trader we expect you to :

• Manage/optimize all short term positions (Outright,X-border,Sales, RES, BESS,hourly shapes...) i.e. from D+1 to front month
• Take part on the continuous improvement on the hourly shape model
• Ensure performance of books under its perimeter and related reporting
• Be Pnl driven, respectful of your team's risk and trader mandate and take action when needed
• Promote team spirit and constructive relationship within the desk and with other teams (within Power Trading NWE ( BESS & RES), Analysts , Quants , origination, structuring,...)
• show a continuous drive to grow the business and to implement profitable trading strategies that protects the value for all Groups Interests

Education & professional background:

• Master in Engineering (preferred); master in business or economics
