As a part of our Pressure Management Business Unit (PRM), we're seeking a dedicated Trade Compliance Specialist-Free Trade Agreements to play a pivotal role in our global trade operations in our Stafford, Texas location. You'll be working directly under the leadership of the Manager of Trade Compliance, focusing on ensuring all import and export activities across our North American locations are in strict adherence to U.S. and non-U.S. laws, regulations, and Emerson Corporate policies. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Support Emerson Global Trade Compliance efforts to maintain and enhance Pressure Management process and procedures regarding regulated trade activities (imports, exports, trade programs).
  • Perform basic legislative and regulatory impact analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable import and export regulatory requirements.
  • Correspond with external organizations such as customs brokers, freight forwarders/agents and carriers.
  • Perform regular import/export operational compliance audits per Emerson and Trade Compliance Management System guidelines to ensure due diligence/reasonable care with regulatory requirements and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Perform export transaction screening and escalation as necessary.
  • Supporting the Pressure Management products for import and export purposes in accordance with the U.S. Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Other Government Agencies (OGA) as applicable.
  • Leading the USMCA process including supplier certificate solicitation and qualifying products

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in International Trade, Business, or Logistics
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience
  • Proven ability in Trade Compliance
  • Experience with HTS and ECCN classification
  • Proven experience with Free Trade Agreements, particularly with USMCA
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.


Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP and/or Oracle.
  • Experience with TradeSphere Exporter (TSE).
  • Knowledge of the US HTS, EAR, and CBP regulations
