Wood is recruiting an E&I Construction Engineer to join our growing Operations business in Darwin, supporting one of our long-term client partners within the Oil & Gas industry on an established WA brownfields Engineering Service Contract. Based in Darwin, this is a permanent role and is available as a full-time / part-time (job share) basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Construction & Commissioning Manager, you will step into a dedicated client contract team. To be successful in your role, you will have prior construction experience in either Onshore or Offshore LNG within an EPCM engineering environment.
Scope of work:

Suitably qualified with a degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering (or a tertiary qualification supported with 5+ years of relevant industry experience). Ideally you will have proven experience in a similar role as an E&I Construction Engineer within a Brownfield EPC, ESC or EPCM environment, preferably within the Australian Oil & Gas / LNG industry.

- Delivery of FEED deliverables associated with Construction activities
- Creating access work packs
- Input into construction feasibility studies for the project
- Providing inputs into constructability reviews, schedules and estimates
- Coordinating with personnel offshore
- Input into design and engineering to ensure Construction activities are optimized and the works scopes can be completed safely and efficiently

- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills - both written and verbal
- Previous experience in a role of construction engineering and coordination working in a project multidisciplined team
- Experience of interpreting discipline documentation
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments (RA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS) and Hazard Identification Studies (HAZIDS)
- Good knowledge and understanding of technical specifications
