This Position reports to:
Warranty Manager

We are offering a position as a Service Manager in our Marine and Ports, Marine Propulsion Service unit, in which you will be responsible for coordinating and managing Azipod® propulsion on-call service jobs for our external and internal customers. To be successful, you will ensure that service visits are delivered safely on time, to the agreed quality standards, and in full compliance with ABB's procedures. As working in the customer interface, you also act as the contact point for the customers during the execution of an on-call service job, managing both the operational and commercial aspects from quotation through to invoicing.

Your responsibilities

  • Serving as primary contact for commercial on-call service cases. Preparing and agreeing on the commercial terms for the service intervention, including scope and pricing
  • Coordinating with customer and field staff to plan schedule, travel arrangements, scope and site access requirements
  • Ensuring all required preparation is done and all work complies with ABB safety standards, procedures and policies
  • Tracking the completion of service visits and ensuring all documentation is completed in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a responsive and professional service approach to support and build customer satisfaction
  • Driving high-quality service delivery to minimize the need for repeat visits
  • Collaborating with other coordinators and internal stakeholders to ensure field service resources are allocated to maximize completion of customer service requests and contract delivery


This role can be located in Vuosaari, Helsinki or Turku. We offer a hybrid work model.

Qualifications for the role
  • B.Sc.or M.Sc. in a technical field
  • Five years of experience preferrable in technical sales, field service or service coordination
  • You work well both independently and as a part of a team as well with customers and you seek solutions actively
  • Decision making and coordination under pressure is nothing new to you
  • Capability to take ownership and flexibility when needed to standard office hours
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Preferrable, you have gained experience with SAP, JIRA and MS office tools
  • Experience in shipbuilding, service industry and knowledge of ABB products are an advantage
