Compensation Range: $35.91 - $37.52 per hour (Forperson receives an additional $3.25 per hour)
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Estimates, plans, coordinates, and supervises the activities of workers engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of controls for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS: Two years' experience as an HVAC technician and four years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the trade
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
WORK CALENDAR: 12 Months
WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent, prolonged, and irregular hours of work.

- Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan.
- Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities to enhance the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work environment
- Calibrates, adjusts, and repairs temperature control components for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for their proper operation.
- Troubleshoot temperature control system problems and make the necessary component repairs/replacements to restore normal control cycle operations.
- Upgrades present temperature controls to improve their control cycles for better and more efficient control operations.
- Maintains electrical, pneumatic, and digital temperature control systems, and performs technical preventative maintenance on such systems.
- Oversee monitor building automation system (BAS).
- Prepare reports and documentation for the Supervisor.
- May be asked to be on call for emergencies that may arise
- Estimate man-hour requirements for the completion of the job assignment.
- Assign work orders daily to staff using computerized maintenance management systems and ensure work orders are completed promptly.
