VanderHyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids, is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction HVAC Project Manager to join our growing team.

What You'll Do

• Oversee commercial HVAC projects from start to finish
• Manage and support foremen and multiple installation teams on job sites
• Coordinate crews to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Troubleshoot, interpret, and work from diagrams and blueprints
• Prepare detailed material, labor, and cost estimates
• Maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and clients
• Ensure scheduled requirements and deadlines are met for all active projects
• Oversee quality control of installed products with field personnel
• Prepare cost analyses using bid data
• Review and understand HVAC equipment selections (indoor/outdoor, evaporator matches)
• Work with hydronic boilers, water heaters, and zone systems
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Procore (preferred) for project management and reporting

• What You Bring

• Minimum 7 years of commercial HVAC field experience
• Experience overseeing projects and leading foremen/teams
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel; Procore preferred)
• Ability to interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Knowledge of state, local, and mechanical codes
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Dependable, detailed, and organized
• Valid driver's license with insurable record
