About the Opportunity

Ellucian is seeking an AI Knowledge Systems Lead (RAG) to launch and lead a new function dedicated to digitizing, scaling, and unlocking the value of our organizational knowledge. In this role, you'll capture critical institutional expertise and transform it into accessible, AI-powered resources for training, decision-making, and real-time support. You'll partner across teams to design knowledge systems that drive operational excellence and prepare our workforce for the future.
Where you'll make an impact

• Lead the creation and execution of an enterprise-wide knowledge management strategy.
• Identify high-value knowledge areas at risk of loss during transformational change.
• Design & implement scalable systems to capture, digitize, and organize institutional knowledge.
• Apply AI tools (NLP, semantic search, generative AI) to automate knowledge extraction, tagging, and retrieval.
• Promote inner source principles to foster shared ownership, reuse, and collaboration across teams.
• Align knowledge systems with Ellucian's transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish governance for knowledge contribution, curation, and access.
• Measure & report usage, gaps, and impact on performance and training.

What you will bring

• Proven experience in knowledge management, content strategy, or organizational learning.
• Hands-on expertise applying AI technologies to structure and surface knowledge.
• Skill in translating tacit knowledge into structured, reusable formats.
• Strong collaboration skills to engage subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Strategic, analytical, and detail-oriented problem-solver.
• Experience with knowledge platforms, CMSs, and enterprise search tools.
• Bonus Experience to have: Familiarity with inner source practices and tools, with a track record of enabling cross-functional contribution and reuse.
