Job Description:

We are now looking for Automation System & Digital Security Engineer to join our Engineering team at the Gemlik Plant. This role plays a key part in ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our automation systems and digital networks. The successful candidate will lead automation and cyber security projects, support technicians, and manage critical process control networks in line with bp global standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Analyze, solve, and follow up on automation malfunctions.
• Provide technical support to technicians on automation-related issues.
• Act as the local contact for IT issues, supporting users where required.
• Serve as the Cyber Security focal point for Gemlik site.
• Build capability with 3rd-party engineering contractors, ensuring competence in process control and automation.
• Lead automation and digital security projects, from initiation to completion.
• Run and report on automation system and digital security conformance.
• Develop and implement key processes for Process Control Networks (PCN) in line with BP policy.
• Administer and maintain automation assets (architecture, backups, SCADA, network).
• Coordinate operational technology networks, switches, and firewall rules.
• Ensure compliance with BP Operational Management System (OMS) and relevant legal regulations.
• Promote HSSE culture by embedding safety, quality, and compliance into daily activities.
• Transfer knowledge and provide training to colleagues and technicians.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer, Software, Electrical/Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial networks, PLC, DCS, SCADA, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Experience with communication protocols (Profibus, Modbus, Profinet, IO Fieldbus).
• Knowledge of Process Control Networks and Cyber Security.
• Familiarity with measurement & control techniques, instrumentation, pumps, and motors.
• Flexibility for overtime when needed

Knowledge & Skills:

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Proficiency in standard Office applications.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and basic CAD knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across functions.
