In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Liaise with business and ITC personnel throughout the region
  • Assist the US Trade Compliance Manager with:
    • Reviewing business ITC controls, conducting gap analyses, and formulating action plans
    • Monitoring and updating the Archer audit management system
    • Monitoring and communicating regulatory developments in the region
    • Support Trade Compliance Manager with training activities in the region
    • Tracking and responding to inquiries, requests, and other interactions with brokers and freight forwarders
    • Running ACE reports to track Section 232, Reciprocal, and IEEPA filings
    • Auditing entry summary filings with new tariff requirements
    • Classify products with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)
    • Non-Preferential Country of Origin determinations and marking
    • Free Trade Agreement qualification analysis and documentation
    • Antidumping (ADD) and Countervailing (CVD) Duty analyses
    • Restricted Party & Transaction Screening
    • Customs Valuation
    • Partner Government Agency requirements
    • Transaction Auditing
    • Developing and updating local work instructions and procedures
  • Other ITC tasks and projects as assigned
  • Drive the continuous improvement of Trade Compliance operations through meticulous documentation and proactive updating of departmental procedures.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Four-year undergraduate degree (or equivalent education outside the U.S., preferably in business, international trade, supply chain, legal studies, or a related field)
  • Three years of demonstrated Trade Compliance experience
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of US Customs Law and Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) (specifically eCFR:15 CFR Part 30) and other related applicable import-export regulations such as The Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Experience obtaining and maintaining FTA COO's
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize and execute
  • Experience with TSE a plus
  • Travel up to ~20%

Preferred Education:
  • More than three years of demonstrated US trade compliance experience in the specified region
  • Graduate degree (e.g., MBA, JD, or equivalent education outside the U.S.)
  • Experience with Oracle business systems and/or Oracle Global Trade Management and SAP
  • Proficient use of the English language (both spoken and written)
