Job Summary:

Terminal Sales Engineer is responsible for handling and growing relationships and bookings with our current and prospective clients, identifying new opportunities for value creation within assigned accounts, and understanding the specific needs and challenges of various collaborators within those accounts. The role completes Sales Campaigns in close collaboration with BDMs and participate in sales communities led by Industry segment leaders. The role requires a strong understanding of the terminal industry, operational challenges, and the ability to offer integrated solutions across the full measurement solutions range.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Account management. Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with account collaborators, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Develop and complete account plans to acquire accounts, identify product white spaces, create demand and identify green-or brownfield project opportunities.
  • Customer engagement, Map out the key collaborators within customer organizations, understand their roles, responsibilities, and influence, and build links between them and the various Emerson sales personas.
  • Needs assessment. Conduct thorough needs assessments in collaboration with BDMs to identify customer pains, problems, and challenges that our products or solutions can address. Understand the customer's business drivers and process/operational environment.
  • Solution presentation. Present and differentiate tailored solutions to collaborators, demonstrating how our products can meet their specific needs and tackle their problems.
  • Identification and pursuit of opportunities. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts from lead to PO, focusing on improving the potential of our product portfolio, including filling whitespace and generate new demand for our products and services.
  • Collaboration. Work closely with support team, BDMs and specialists to ensure high quality customer conversations and solution and services development. Assign ownership of complex or long lead pursuit to Solutions BDM or project pursuit leaders. Support and guide BDMs in reaching the necessary decision makers in the customer's organization.
  • Price. Realize price through using the portfolio creating customer value. Define account strategies balancing price and volume.
  • Market Insights. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of market demands.
  • Reporting. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all account activities, opportunities, product life cycle management and sales forecasts in CRM or otherwise sales tech systems.


Who You Are:

You readily action new challenges without unnecessary planning, identify and seize new opportunities and stay aligned with your goals and stay productive. You keep in touch with customers, build the customer relationships, gain insight into customer needs, find opportunities that benefit the customer and build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You set objectives to align with broader organizational goals, break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions, stage activities with relevant achievements and schedules and anticipate and adjust effective contingency plans.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Engineering Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field
  • Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience in industrial market
  • Fluent in English language skills (verbal, reading and writing).
  • Strong PC user.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Be a committed, self motivated, results driven sales person.
  • Be a phenomenal teammate willing to work with other sales people in the region and globally.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willing to travel in the region and international.


Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Any other European language skills are beneficial.
  • 3+ years of experience in related area
