Where will you work – O&M Training Manager?
For one of our clients, a global EPC/engineering player in Oil & Gas (new LNG facility), we are hiring an O&M Training Manager, initially based at the Paris, with future mobilization to Ruwais (UAE) aligned with the project schedule.
Job Title: O&M Training Manager
Location: Paris (start), then Ruwais – UAE (mobilization)
Organization: Embedded within O&M and Commissioning; interfaces with Engineering, Vendors/Licensors, and Client.
O&M Training Manager – Mission & Responsibilities
- Design and drive the end-to-end LNG training strategy (curricula, materials, delivery methods) per COMPANY requirements; issue a guideline for training manual preparation for CPY review/approval.
- Oversee development of training books by LNG units with post-handover usability by Client personnel.
- Track execution of the training plan and assess trainees; gather session feedback and measure impact on skills/KPIs.
- Ensure Vendor/Licensor trainings comply with contractual specs; coordinate trainers (site training coordinators, writers, instructors).
- Review/validate team-produced materials before CPY submission; update the project training plan and align schedule with commissioning planning.
- Deploy blended methods: classroom, workshops, OJT.
- Reporting: weekly training activity reports; monthly progress reports.
Ideal Profile & Skills
- Education : Engineering degree (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical/Process) or HNC/equivalent; or strong O&M operations background (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation).
- Experience : 10+ years in onshore LNG within Oil & Gas, including technical training program management.
- Experience in hazardous environments with strict safety compliance.
- Skills : Solid LNG operations know-how & safety procedures; understanding of relevant standards/regulations.
- Instructional design, TNA, curriculum build, and effectiveness evaluation.
- Team leadership (coordinators, writers, instructors) & vendor/licensor coordination.
- Fluent English; strong communication/presentation.
- Proficiency with Windows/Office; advanced organizational skills. Senior trainer certification for Oil & Gas operators is expected.
