AVIATION COORDINATOR
Overview
To act in the role of an SME/Technical Authority Level 1 as coordinating SME to the department manager in the field of Aviation for QatarEnergy and Joint Ventures. Analyses operational performance against latest best practices available from other industries and markets to identifies opportunities for improvement. Diagnoses and resolves risks and problems within existing and future business. Leads cross-functional and cross-company studies and projects (including within QatarEnergy shared aviation activity with wider energy sector companies). Develops and implement innovative solutions/improvements with supporting policies/procedures.
Experience
• A minimum of 15 years total experience, including: -
a) Minimum of 5 years' prior operational experience as Qualified Pilot/Aircrew or Aircraft Engineer (helicopter preferred) in full time role for commercial/military aviation organization.
b) Minimum of 10 years' oil and gas industry experience in aviation management or as a Technical Authority.
• Significant depth of knowledge in Aviation, including international regulatory standards, commercials, operations of aircraft, aerodromes, drones and jet fuel.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are crucial for informing and influencing high-level stake holders.
• Analytical, creative/innovative problem solving, crisis management and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and introduce new procedures and tools into business by managing projects and strategic reviews.
• Can manage multiple complex tasks with appropriate priority.
• Resilient under pressure (both internal and external).
Qualifications
BSc. / bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study. An advanced degree e.g. MBA, Master's or Ph. D. is desirable.
