Location: Alexandria, Egypt
Work pattern: 5 days onsite / 2 days off
Purpose of role
The Infrastructure Lead will deliver safe, reliable, and efficient services to West Nile Delta (WND) sites through strong contractor management and sustainable delivery of infrastructure services including facilities management, waste management, accommodation, and catering.
This role provides leadership and oversight of infrastructure operations, ensures top-quartile HSE performance, handles risk and compliance, and drives continuous improvement across services and teams.

Purpose of role
The Infrastructure Lead will deliver safe, reliable, and efficient services to West Nile Delta (WND) sites through strong contractor management and sustainable delivery of infrastructure services including facilities management, waste management, accommodation, and catering.
This role provides leadership and oversight of infrastructure operations, ensures top-quartile HSE performance, handles risk and compliance, and drives continuous improvement across services and teams.
Key accountabilities
- Lead delivery of facilities and infrastructure services at WND, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and bp policies.
- Act as Incident Manager for the facility and On-Scene Commander for emergency response.
- Develop and deliver the Facilities Management annual work plan, budget, and long-term strategy.
- Handle "Site A" support base and the WND Infrastructure team, including coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Supervise third-party contractors, ensuring delivery of safety, technical, and commercial obligations through robust contractor management.
- Support development and delivery of site projects, maintenance programs, and temporary/permanent facilities.
- Partner with Procurement on contract strategies and participate in negotiations.
- Report and mitigate risks, maintain annual risk register, and drive continuous service improvements.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory standards, and bp ethics & compliance policies.
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a relevant field.
- 15+ years' experience in a demanding operational environment of similar complexity.
- Proven leadership and team management experience, including leading multi-functional teams.
- Strong safety leadership and incident management experience.
- Solid understanding of upstream oil and gas operations.
- Eye for business, including budget management, cost control, and financial decision-making.
- Experience in contract management, sourcing, and supplier oversight.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English, with strong presentation, mentoring, and coaching capabilities.
It would be beneficial to also have:
- Experience in strategy development and performance management.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
- International standards experience in facilities or infrastructure management.
