POWER SYSTEMS STUDIES  ENGINEER - CONTRACT – SURREY

 

Our Client is seeking a Power Systems Studies Engineer to support various onshore and offshore projects on an initial 12 month contract role that has an immediate start.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Candidates must have proven experience as a Power Systems Studies Engineer, ideally with both offshore and onshore project exposure. Proficiency in ETAP software is essential.

 

JOB SCOPE:

You will be supporting various onshore and offshore projects .

 

These include local power generation, renewable power, including BESS or grid connections at voltages up to 220kV.

 

Studies will include equipment sizing, load flow, short circuit, dynamic motor starting, harmonic studies, arc flash, transient stability and protection co-ordination.

 

Tasks will include running power system studies and overseeing third party vendors providing power system studies for projects including EMT software

 

DURATION:                  12 months initially

 

LOCATION:                  The role will be based on 5 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Leatherhead. Hybrid working may be possible with two days remote.

 

RATE:                          £60.00 – 65.00 per hourLtd co rate

 

                                    If the role is Likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
