Position Overview:
  • Under limited supervision responsible for complex technical work in the area of nuclear safety related functions for the DUF6 project. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:

Functional:
  • Develops and implements the organization's nuclear criticality safety and fire protection programs
  • Provides technical guidance to management and personnel regarding nuclear safety
  • Performs, reviews and revises what-ifs, hazard and operability (HAZOPs), fault trees, event trees, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEAs), reliability analyses, fire hazard analyses, criticality analyses and consequence analyses Reviews and revises safety documentation (i.e., Documented Safety Analysis (DSA), Technical Safety Requirement (TSR), Safety Management Program (SMP)) and plans, policies, procedures, system design description (SDDs), facility design description (FDDs) and engineering documents to ensure proper implementation of the safety basis
  • Maintains training and knowledge of all existing and proposed changes in regulations in the areas of nuclear safety and fire prevention <>

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • 1+ years of nuclear experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) credential
