Position Overview
The Lead Generation Specialist position is responsible for generating sales revenue by utilizing various lead sources to identify, research, and validate viable sales project opportunities. The position will collaborate with others to develop the right strategy and approach to generate project leads and advance projects through the sales process for Heavy Commercial, Light Commercial and Hospitality construction markets. The Lead Generation Specialist will make recommendations for process improvements with an eye towards providing a positive customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervisory Responsibility
No direct management or supervisory responsibilities.
Safety
During site visits or trips to the manufacturing floor, observe safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment; report potentially unsafe conditions; and use equipment and materials properly.
Travel
Minimal travel required for commuting between the Quaker campuses to attend meetings, visit job sites, dealers, sales representatives or for professional development.

The expectation is that the individual has achieved a minimum level of education and/or related expertise to qualify for this position.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

This is primarily an office job and largely a sedentary role with frequent sitting. The position requires the ability to sit, bend or stand as necessary. The employee may also occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
Although the employee will primarily be in an office setting, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to visit the factory and be exposed to climactic variations, various levels of vibration, and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the office is usually low, but hearing protection may be advisable or required for prolonged visits to certain parts of the factory.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Search to identify and qualify commercial and light commercial window and door projects and their project decision makers such as project architects, building owners, developers, general contractors or specifiers who write the specifications or technical requirements of a project.
- Make outbound calls & use social media to uncover project details and viability
- Research and suggest Quaker solutions to meet complex project requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional roles to understand the most impactful lead qualification criteria
- Learn and retain regional and product application differences
- Distribute leads based on project readiness, strategy intent, proposed solutions and customer needs
- Manage the tracking of follow-up activities to demonstrate quantifiable results.
- Review window and door product specifications to identify opportunities for substitution requests
- Leverage the substitution process to increase the company's share
- Collaborate with outside Sales Representatives to increase probability of winning projects
- Confirm when projects are bid and when they are closed
- Provide regular reporting on Key Performance Indicators via active Salesforce.com Customer Relationship Management system utilization
- Learn and maintain knowledge of Quaker products, their requirements and advantages
- Continually leverage information learned to identify and prioritize initiatives to improve lead conversion and sales results
- Support the documentation process required to gain approval from architects. This documentation may include the architectural contract, technical requirements or plans and specs of a project.
- Participate in and present periodically at Sales Meetings
- Prompt and regular attendance at your assigned work location.
- Interact and communicate with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
- Virtual availability to confer with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis.
- Communicate via email, prepare reports and work schedules.
- Review and analyze data and information concerning viable sales project opportunities.
- Plan, prioritize and monitor lead research activities.
- Complete assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.

- Knowledge of the principles and methods for promoting products
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Prefer knowledge of building material products (especially windows & doors)
Education and Experience
The expectation is that the individual has achieved a minimum level of education and/or related expertise to qualify for this position.
- High school diploma or a passed General Education Development test
- Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field of study
- 1-2 Years Experience preferred in a Customer Relationship Management role using Salesforce.com or comparable CRM system
- 1-2 Years Experience preferred with Dodge Pipeline by Dodge Construction Network platform finding targeted commercial construction opportunities
- Preferred Construction Specifications Institute - CSI Construction Document Technologist -CDT
