Short description

We are seeking a certified and experienced Polyethylene (PE) Welder to support HDD operations on a long-term infrastructure project in Germany. The role involves welding HDPE pipes using butt fusion and electrofusion techniques, ensuring strong, leak-proof joints for underground utility installations.

Function description

Your main tasks will be:

• Execute electrofusion welding of HDPE pipes in accordance with project specifications and standards.
• Prepare pipe ends, align sections, and operate fusion machines.
• Conduct visual inspections and pressure tests to verify weld integrity.
• Maintain and calibrate welding equipment and ensure proper documentation of welding activities.
• Collaborate with HDD rig operators and site supervisors to ensure timely pipe preparation and installation.
• Comply with German safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.

Requirements

For this job, you need to have:

• Proven experience in HDPE welding, preferably in HDD or pipeline projects.
• Certification in Polyethylene welding or willing to obtain it on a short-notice.
• Familiarity with butt fusion and electrofusion techniques.
• Ability to read technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Basic knowledge of HDD processes is an advantage.
• Good level of English; German language skills are a plus.
• Valid EU work permit or eligibility to work in Germany (mandatory).
