Job Description Summary
POSITION SUMMARY

This project is part of the largest and most complex capital project for Air Products. It will be the first industrial-scale giga sized project providing a green energy carrier around the world to contribute to the decarbonization of the industry. Air Products will engagint several Sub-Contractors to execute the works, where most of the sub-contractors has large execution scope and yet they have critical interfaces at their scope boundary with other sub-contractors.

There are also commonly shared utilities, resources, facilities within the site that are bonded through site operation principles and appropriate SIMOPS ensuring safety. The incumbent in this position is therefore accountable for the managing the execution interfaces across all the site Sub-Contractors at NEOM Green Hydrogen Elements Site. This requires the incumbent to seamlessly coordinate with several sub-contractors for the various interfaces throughout the project life cycle starting from early construction phase..

Incumbent therefore required to have a rich experience in site project management, contract administration, change management, external stakeholder management and conflict resolution. The incumbent should ensure the customer’s scope and their accountabilities are well coordinating with other external stakeholders such as land proponents, contractors, consultants and customers representatives as applicable. To manage these scope and responsibilities, the incumbent must possess advance proficiency of applied management skills, contract knowledge, risk management and change management. The incumbent should possess excellent communication, influencing skills and leadership abilities with self motivation, focus on safety, delivering results with inclusion. The project is executed utilizing global capabilities, necessitating a robust cross-cultural competency.

The incumbent is required to poses a minimum of seven years in the project management, as well as site and construction works background experience.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES

The role requires an experienced project professional who has worked and executed large scale EPC projects. The required candidate should have experience in interface management, integration, conflict resolutions and negotiations . The role will be a site based role with below duties:
  • Assist the Project Interface Manager with day-to-day coordination with customer and external stakeholders on the external interfaces of the project
  • Support and facilitate the regular interface coordination and review meetings
  • Support the functional leads of the project task force team as required on external interface related matters that influences the progress and project schedule
  • Provide support to project interface manager in resolving conflicts arising from interfaces and coordination with variation requests, as per guidance of the Interface Manager
  • Assist Interface Manager for critical external inter-disciplinary interface coordination meetings and reviews at site
  • Ensure the communication protocols are followed with Customer and customer representatives for the interface coordination and they are documented and distributed appropriately as per the project communication procedure
  • Assist the Project Interface Manager with data/input consolidation and coordination required to support Customer in obtaining permits necessary for initial star-up and operations.
  • Participate in the project permits/licenses related discussions with relevant authorities along with the Project Relations Officer (PRO) or other key project stakeholders/leadership
  • Coordination with Customer’s Interface Manager as required
  • Support the Interface manager in the customer’s operational interfaces discussions and final handover related coordination as required

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Garduate Engineering Degree
  • Minimum seven years of experience in project management.
  • Self-motivated, result oriented, pro-active individual who can work independently as individual contributor and also influence team members and customers at tactical level
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Emerging leadership qualities and skills to manage stakeholder relationships to project success, with transparent inclusive and collaborative approach
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills to senior management audiences and client.
  • Ability to clearly establish and articulate objectives and expectations.
  • Hands on experience in dealing permits/licenses associated with Saudi Arabian laws, regulations for the project
  • Site construction experience is required
  • Complete project life cycle experience as a owner/facility operator is preferred
  • Familiarity with contract language and sub-contract administration
