Position: Piping Material Engineer – Oil and Gas Industry

Mission:

• Ensure the good design of the material of the piping network both at technical and cost level
• Issue technical part of inquiries, bid analysis and order for piping components
• Interface with other Piping specialists, project specialists and designers
• Refer to project piping and layout lead and to head of piping material section

Job tasks:

• Be responsible for the quality, respect of budget and respect of project schedule for piping material tasks
• Review the Client technical documentation and requirements
• Be responsible for the design of all piping components
• Perform wall thickness calculations of pipes
• Prepare mechanical valve specification for body of motorized valves
• Validate cost estimate

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications in materials engineering may be preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Piping Material Engineer in the oil and gas industry or related sectors. Demonstrated track record in materials selection, specifications, and procurement for piping systems.
• Piping Materials Knowledge: In-depth understanding of piping materials, including alloys, metals, plastics, and their compatibility with various process fluids and environments.
