Head of Construction Department - Kuala Lumpur

On behalf of a major Oil & Gas Operator, WRS are looking for a Head of Construction to work in Kuala Lumpur on a contract basis. This will be a 2 year renewable contract, paying a monthly salary in MYR.

The role will entail overseeing the construction activities for offshore and onshore processing plants, including a CO2 injection facility. You will be responsible for managing a team of professionals, supervising multiple contractors and subcontractors, and ensuring the successful execution of major EPCIC contract packages

Job Duties include:

• Lead and manage the construction department, overseeing the development of offshore and onshore processing plants with a CO2 injection facility.
• Report directly to the Project Director and provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Supervise and manage five working teams responsible for the construction of the Central Processing Platform (CPP), Wellhead Platforms (WHPs), Living Quarters Platform (LQP), Transportation and Installation (T&I), and Onshore Gas Plant (OGP).
• Collaborate closely with the Project Director, engineering, procurement, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Coordinate and manage the activities of contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures, policies, project schedules, safety standards, and quality requirements

Ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Engineering or a related field.
• Master's degree is an advantage but not necessary.
• Professional certificate by accredited Bodies/ Associations is an advantage but not necessary
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in construction management within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on EPCIC contracts and major project execution.
• Proven leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex construction projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of offshore and onshore gas processing facilities, including CO2 injection systems and contaminant removal processes.
• Exceptional project management abilities, including the development and execution of construction plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools
