Job Role Summary
The Research and Technology Company located in Spring, Texas is seeking a Laboratory Professional to provide technical and administrative support to research and technical staff in developing, operating, and conducting special core and fluid analysis experiments.

Primary Job Function
 Special & Routine Core Analysis:

• Understand and conduct two phase relative permeability experiments. Perform plug preparation, composite assembly, fluid transfers, and material balance of composite fluids, in-situ composite cleaning, and final measurements including permeability, fluid expansion factors, and live oil/gas oil/gas-brine ratios.
• Understand and conduct centrifuge experiments, including capillary pressure, relative permeability, and driving core samples to Swi.
• Knowledge of fluid properties such as viscosity, density, bubble points, and other various characteristics. Additional experience with PVT a plus.
• Experience with using CO2 at pressure and temperature for core permeability measurements preferred.
• Have in-depth knowledge of laboratory equipment required for special core analysis. Including hands on experience with acoustic separators, Quizix pumps, ISCO pumps, various pressure transducers, density-meters, viscometers, and Dispatch/ Blue M ovens.

Research Program Initialization: Collaborate with senior technical and engineering research staff to develop objectives and test programs.
Testing: Operate experiments outlined in the research program safely. Effectively communicate any immediate observations to the research staff for rapid adjustment in the testing program, as needed. Flexibility is required as much of the testing performed is unique world-class research, and results are not always anticipated.
Troubleshooting: Be able to determine issues with equipment or workflows and collaborate within the team to identify and implement creative solutions. Must be mechanically inclined and have the ability to work hands on.
Data Analysis and Quality: Assist research staff with data collection, quality checks, and data input/extraction.  Perform pre and post test data analysis and interpretation including generating standard or customized reports, plots, and graphs.
Communication Skills: High level of written and verbal communication for both training and updates of technical work. Ability to collaborate with people with diverse skill sets and backgrounds.
Safety: Ability to incorporate safety values into all aspects of work, and willingness to contribute to our safety culture.

Preferred Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
• Education: Four-year college degree in science, technology, is desired. Direct experience can be used in place of education.
• Technical & Laboratory Experience: A minimum of 3 years of industry laboratory experience is required.
• Computing and Information Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to use data acquisition programs such as LabView, Pump Works, & similar software programs.
