Fully remoteGreat opportunity to work for an international E&P Company on a flagship Greenfield Offshore Gas project in Europe. The role requires the successful candidate to be flexible & mobile with the project, being based between UK & Milan initially before moving to the Yard in Indonesia for Commissioning & Construction, before finally moving to site for execution.
Your tasks
- The Commissioning & Start-Up Manager advises on the delivery of the project by leading the commissioning and start-up workscopes required to bring the facilities into operations safely. The Commissioning & Start-up Manager will coordinate and provide commissioning input to overall strategies and commissioning plans across the project delivery lines and ensure a consistent approach. In later phases the Commissioning & Start-up Manager will oversee the project commissioning teams and EPC Contractors commissioning activities as well as plan and execute the commisionign and start-up scopes after introduction of hydrocarbons.
- Review the commissioning processes and Completions Management System (CMS) proposed by EPC Contractor and ensure they are fit for purpose to verify the integrity of the facilities build against the projects System Completions Plan
- Co-ordinate across the delivery lines the roll-out, and use, of a common CMS such that all records are recorded in a single database.
- Act as a focal point for CSU across the project scopes and ensure that a holistic approach is taken with all interfaces adequately addressed
- Review Contractor documents developed for executing the commisioning including system completions plans, boundary drawings, ITR catalogue, test procedures etc.
- Ensure contractors Control of Work systems are fit for purpose such that the planned work can be executed safely
- Ensure the maximum amount of commissioning is completed onshore such that the offshore work is minimised
- Monitor progress of commissioning executed by the delivery lines and advise where necessary
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree: Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent
- Relevant professional experience: ˃ 12 years inthe offshore oil and gas industry
- Chartered Engineer by recognised industry body (desirable)
- Previous experience on large greenfield offshore oil and gas project in a similar role, working on behalf of the Operator
- Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
- Previous experience of working for an Operator
- Working knowledge of commissioning management systems and their implementation
- Thorough awareness of required testing scopes across multiple scopes (subsea, topsides)
- Hands-on experience in dealing with commissioning issues and providing solutions (with limited support from discipline engineers)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
