No experience / No degree Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Senior Lease Records Analyst to work on a 12-months contract in Houston, TX.
The Senior Lease Analyst is responsible for lease and contract analysis, set up, maintenance and reporting on lease, contract, and agreements for all Texas and Louisiana assets as part of operation within the Land Administration team. This role will examine and interpret provisions and obligations of various leases, rights of way, mineral records, and agreements involving company assets while maintaining data integrity across all records.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Lease Analyst is responsible for lease and contract analysis, set up, maintenance and reporting on lease, contract, and agreements for all Texas and Louisiana assets as part of operation within the Land Administration team. This role will examine and interpret provisions and obligations of various leases, rights of way, mineral records, and agreements involving company assets while maintaining data integrity across all records.
Responsibilities:
- Review, setup and maintain Oil & Gas Leases and Right of Ways in Quorum Land, capturing provisions, payments, and obligations
- Manager company assets within Quorum Land and communicate with Land personnel as needed to obtain additional data and documents necessary for accurate set-ups
- Analyze and apply terms of contracts, including but not limited to Purchase and Sale Agreements, Contracts, Leases, Right of Ways, creation of Executive Rights and Non-Participating Mineral Interests
- Generate monthly calendars for lease payments, obligations (minimum royalties, shut ins), expirations, and circulate for Landman approval, and process accordingly
- Process al land obligations and invoicing
- Analyze any legal changes that may impact leases, mineral, and contractual terms and incorporate those changes into the work process.
- Manage all contractual obligations set forth for the term of each agreement.
- Manage company assets within Quorum land and imaged land records; provide support of data conversion into Quorum
- Provide reports on acrage and company interest reports
- Ensure accuracy of GIS representation of company assets
- Ensure the data integrity of each record to provide accurate information upon request.
- Process ownership changes and support with owner inquiries and keep all stakeholders abreast of ownership changes.
- Assist division order analysts with land inquiries
- Other duties and special projects as assigned including but not limited to internal/external audits and data conversions.
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7-10 years of lease analyst or directly related experience
- Experience with Quorum land software preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of land rentals and Oil and Gas Agreements for Texas and Louisiana assets
- Basic knowledge of Division Orders
- Experience with data conversion scripting and testing from acquisitions
- Proficient in Excel
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS
- Solid interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build relationships in a small team environment as well as with external parties.
- Ability to function independently, multi task and be self-motivated.
- Strong analytical skills including problem-solving, and the ability to quickly manage a high volume of leases and contracts.
