Job Description:

The Petroleum Engineer, Advisor, position is part of Company Reservoir Management Group inside the Field Production Engineering team (FPET). The Team is responsible for daily well production optimization, and operations (well testing, multiphase meters maintenance and calibration, surveillance, gas oil ratio and water production management, Korolev Large Scale Pilot (Improved Oil Recover) support, well clean-up, plant flowbacks, etc), identifying, managing, maturing, and executing base business and LPO (loss production opportunity) small capital projects, short-term production forecasting, gas injection optimization, and well workovers. This position reports to the Company RMG Field Production Engineering Team supervisor and the duties of position include generating production forecasts using PETEX Tools, production line-ups recommendations, wells performance monitoring and analysis, identification underperforming wells and production optimization opportunities, reservoir/well surveillance and well testing data analysis, interpretation and report out for internal/external stakeholders including relevant regulatory bodies. Conducts comprehensive engineering studies. Participates in engineering studies and represents RMG at technical meetings, as required.

Key job responsibilities are: monitor and coordinate field production engineering activities, specializing in the optimization of producing assets. IPM GAP model modification for HP-LP conversion - optimizing the modelling approach & calibrating the model for more realistic representation of LP mode operations. IPM GAP model troubleshooting and modification to improve current modelling accuracy and speed. Running different sensitivity cases in IPM GAP upon request. Whitespace Dashboard (WSD) "Production Forecasting Tool" main point of contact - testing of the dashboard, support with transition from the old process, coordinate troubleshooting with developers in case of any issues with the tool, suggest and support implementing enhancements. Keeping GAP model in Model Catalogue up to date to support Digital Oil Field (DOF) & WSD. Routine support of requests from FPET engineers to Field Operations & Field Control Room - well tests coordination, SCSSV & casing pressure bleed-off requests. Support Field Interface Production engineers with other daily routine activities upon request - Drag Reducing Agent (DRA) uplifts, coordination of production engineers work on different projects, etc. Support production engineers with daily routine work questions and different requests. Mentoring less experienced engineers regarding FPET activities. Update of Tengiz & Korolev Visio map on regular base. The position requires close interfaces with the TCO Base Business Operations, Process Engineering, Wells, Facilities Engineering, Integrated Operating Control Center, Production Operations, to coordinate and ensure efficient and safe transition from reservoir management and production engineering stand point. Applies strong working knowledge of project management and agile processes to effectively mature and integrate opportunities into the business plan, Lost Production Opportunity (LPO) mitigations, and digital projects. Coaches and mentors less experienced National staff.
