About the job:

Site Project Reporting Coordinator supporting major Commissioning/Start-Up, Engineering & Construction projects in Port Arthur, TX. Position will report to Project Managers and Engineering Coordinator. Ideal Candidate has strong skills in Power BI, Excel and reporting.

Please note that this is an office/site-based position in Port Arthur, TX (Sabine Pass) NOT a remote position. Daily Per Diem will be provided to employees who live outside the area.

Your Responsibilities:

• Project Reporting Coordinator supporting major Commissioning/Start-Up, Engineering & Construction project.
• Position is 100% SITE-BASED, 5 days a week at Oil & Gas Facility.
• Site/Office experience supporting projects and project reporting in a related field (Oil & Gas, Construction, Commissioning etc.) is a major plus.
• Provide ongoing weekly reports of project updates/progress to client.
• Conduct thorough analysis of multiple datasets pertaining to our projects and deliver continuous reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and execute databases, data collection systems, and data analytics strategies, aiming to enhance statistical efficiency and overall data quality.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret intricate trends and patterns within complex datasets, offering valuable insights to drive informed decision-making.
• Scrutinize and refine datasets through data cleansing processes, promptly addressing and rectifying any coding anomalies.
• Collaborate with management to discern and prioritize business and information requirements, aligning data analysis efforts with strategic goals.
• Proactively identify and define opportunities for process enhancement, contributing to the continuous improvement of data-related workflows.
• Archive and maintain project related data on a regular basis.

Your Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

Qualifications/Certifications:

• Strong Project Reporting Skills (Power BI, Excel) - ideally with project experience in Oil & Gas, Construction, Commissioning or Engineering sector.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field OR equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in data acquisition from diverse sources and the maintenance of data systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to decipher complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Expertise in data cleansing and validation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Proficiency in relevant tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel).
• Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive approach to identifying process improvement opportunities.

Skills Requirement:

• Strong Power BI and Microsoft Excel experience.
• Strong reporting skills are a plus.
• Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data.
• Technical proficiency in database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
• Knowledge of programming languages and use of: VBA, MS Access, Excel, Power BI and Python.
• Experience in handling reporting packages such as Power BI, Business Objects or ETL frameworks.
• Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set Analyzation.
• Adept at using data processing platforms like Power Query.
• Knowledge of data visualization software utilizing Power BI to generate dashboard reporting.
• Knowledge of how to create and apply the most accurate algorithms to datasets resulting in viable solutions.
