Job Overview

As a recognized company expert in the chemical business, IK Liquids to Chemicals Development is developing the production, shipping, and marketing of low-carbon hydrogen and ammonia as an alternative route-to-market for our oil and gas resources. The Chemicals Manufacturing Specialist will join the Corporate Engagements Coordination Division, which is responsible for establishing a clear stakeholder and functional organization interface plan. The candidate's primary role is to ensure integrated refining and petrochemical manufacturing, operation readiness, and risk management. also to work with the Local Workforce Development Department, SABIC, external institutes, and national training centers to identify an appropriate mix of development, knowledge transfer, internal mobility, and hiring strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess integration readiness across all LTC projects.
  • Overseas manpower staffing strategy and development
  • Monitor environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and performance, establish control, and establish internal assessment procedures for the programs.
  • Indicate process interactions at the refinery/chemical plant interface.
  • Work with national training centers to develop and train Saudis to prepare a highly motivated workforce for the LTC program.
  • Support commissioning and start-up, commissioning readiness, and maintenance activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or a related advanced degree is preferred.
  • at least fifteen years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including at least five years in operational readiness.

Also, to have a thorough understanding of plant operations, process technologies, business drivers, cost drivers, and feedstock sensitivities, you will also need a working knowledge of chemical markets and dynamics. In addition, you will have a detailed understanding of product properties, customer applications, and requirements.
