The Lead Consultant will successfully deliver on projects for clients as a member of one or more project teams within a market program. This includes supporting the Task Lead by supporting clients and team in executing important work with our clients and building/maintaining relationships with clients to help cultivate client interest in working with our organization and with our partners in the cybersecurity and critical infrastructure security space. This position reports to Task Leads and/or PMs on their project engagements but demonstrates an ability over time to grow into a senior consultant or PM.

Successful candidates will possess relevant work experience with clients, teams, and projects in dynamic government organizations. Federal or private sector experience is preferred.

What You Will Do:

The Lead manages small teams to work on project tasks under the supervision of a project manager to ensure quality services are delivered on schedule and within the available budget to meet customer requirements.

• Assist the Task Lead and clients in strategy and planning efforts for the federal agency
• Support Task Lead and clients with team meetings (planning, execution, and after actions)
• Lead small task teams with the execution of project tasks.
• Assist with research and data analysis, including but not limited to assisting with conducting customer or stakeholder analyses.
• Write and/or compile documents, reports, and presentations. Propose recommendations and process improvements to support efficiency.
• Work with individuals at all levels, provide input to reports and other deliverables, execute multiple assignments, meet agreed deadlines, and adjust to changing client demands.
• Supporting or giving oral presentations to clients.
• Supporting the Task Lead and PM with quality assurance on project deliverables related to the primary work assignment area, with occasional support to other areas where integration is important.
• Develop relationships with existing customers to facilitate the development of new business.
• Serve as back-up to the Team Lead on targeted functions in the primary task area.
• Must have a "One Team" and "No Task Too Big or Small" mentality, which is particularly important for client success, team resilience, and personal growth.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree, plus 3 - 7 years of professional work experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Foster positive stakeholder interactions.
• Perform research and provide analysis on research performed.
• Gather and analyze data effectively.
• Apply critical thinking to solve problems.
• Comprehend and analyze complex problems.
• Demonstrate resilient to changes in direction influenced by leadership decisions.
• Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Data analysis and/or PowerBI experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to obtain DHS public trust suitability.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to the Task Lead and PM but candidates must also be comfortable taking direction from clients in the day-to-day environment while maintaining solid discretion and care in keeping team members mutually informed and aware.
