EngineeringWe are seeking a Downstream Chemical Engineer with experience in chemicals, mainly in olefins,
aromatics & synthetic rubber manufacturing to join our Affiliates Manufacturing Excellence Department
(AMED)
Affiliates Manufacturing Excellence Department (AMED) is a multifunctional business unit and a front
office setup to oversee Affiliates' operational performance, manage HSSE and facilitate
driving manufacturing excellence across the portfolio. AMED Acts as the primary interface between
Company and Affiliates by advising, coordinating, assuring and prompting services & support and
conducting Affiliates manufacturing performance analysis and benchmarking.
Your primary role will be to provide technical expertise in conducting benchmarking and analyzing the
performance of Global Manufacturing chemicals assets. You will also be expected to provide support in
closing the performance gaps identified in the benchmarking process.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Analyze chemicals assets economics and identify the lost opportunities in order to optimize the assets.
Conduct studies to identify areas for improvement in the operations of Global manufacturing assets.
Review and ascertain the competitive positions of Global Manufacturing assets in the industry based on
the conducted studies.
Advise Global Manufacturing Management on the performance of chemicals assets.
Lead the planning, development, and execution of solutions to bridge the performance gaps identified.
Formulate expense/margin optimization plans to maximize the financial performance of Global
Manufacturing chemicals assets.
Coordinate with asset owners to establish performance targets and track progress.
Assess the future impact of planned capital improvements and modifications.
