ABOUT YOU

An opportunity has arisen for a technician to join our client's laboratory team responsible for coatings used in the high temperature environments of a gas turbine engine. The role will be technical in nature working with suppliers and the quality function to progress projects, review reports against specifications and approve documentation.

Ideally you will have some previous experience in coating processes and will be a detail-orientated individual.

Required skills and experience:

• Degree in Material Science or related subject required
• Experience working in a laboratory environment preferable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in use of Microsoft office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Key activities:

• Support of coating processes:
• Pack and Vapour Aluminising, Platinum Plating, Plasma Spray, Physical Vapour Deposition.
• Attend project and technical meetings.
• Support quality issue investigations and process improvements within client and external supply chain.
• Support client internal specification update by liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Occasional supplier visits will be required.
