No experience / No degreeAirswift is hiring a contractor Environmental Scientist for an inital 1 year contract with our top midstream O&G client located in Houston, TX.
The candidate will support the Air Compliance & Emissions (ACE) group within the Environmental Department and be responsible for supporting emissions compliance reporting for multiple midstream oil and gas and petrochemical assets. Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The candidate will support the Air Compliance & Emissions (ACE) group within the Environmental Department and be responsible for supporting emissions compliance reporting for multiple midstream oil and gas and petrochemical assets. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Support collection of operational data that is used for emission calculations and reporting of criteria pollutant and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to state and federal agencies.
- Accurately prepare emission calculations using acceptable methods for reporting to government agencies using established tools including but not limited to Sphera's Essential Suite (ESS), BR&E Promax, E&P Tanks, Microsoft Excel, etc.
- Prepare Emission Inventories (EI), as assigned, for company facilities in various states including but not limited to Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Wyoming.
- Deconstruct permits at Title V facilities and preparation of compliance tasks for entry into the ESS Task Manager module.
- Develop and maintain group key performance indicators (KPIs), procedural documents and workflows for continued group optimization and transparency.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science
- A minimum of 1+ years' experience is required
- Emission calculation experience is required
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to multi-task and complete assignments within an established deadline
- High proficiency/knowledge of advanced Microsoft Excel functions
- Experience using Environmental Management Information System (EMIS) software (e.g. ESS) preferred
