We are looking for a Principal Consultantof strategic ERM to play a key role in building out and operationalizing our federal client's ERM Framework. In this role, you'll assist the client with designing and implementing foundational elements of the framework including risk assessment(s) to identify top risks, analyzing and prioritizing risks, evaluating risk responses, and performing ongoing monitoring and risk reporting, Other duties may include assisting with the development of ERM training materials for the client's senior and mid-level employees. The Principal Consultant will also support the Senior Principal Consultant in delivering the broader strategic elements of the client's ERM framework, including aligning the client's strategic plans to their ERM program.

About You:

You thrive in an environment in which you're interacting with our client's senior leaders, their stakeholders and our team. Attention to detail and professional verbal and written communication are a must. You have direct experience with assisting clients in building ERM programs and understanding complex ERM concepts, including risk appetite and tolerance, Key Risk Indicators, and qualitative and quantitative risk data. You look for opportunities to bring the client's ERM stakeholders together to continually collaborate cross-functionally.

What You Will Do:

In collaboration with the Senior ERM Principal Consultant:
  • Design and implement foundational components of the client's ERM framework, including but not limited to risk appetite, risk tolerance and limits, risk monitoring and reporting, and risk dashboards
  • Conduct ERM training for the client's senior and mid-level employees
  • Develop governance documents for the client's ERM program including ERM and related Committee Charters, ERM policies and procedures
  • Design and build risk aggregation and senior leadership reporting content
  • Identify emerging risks
  • Continually assist the client in maturing their ERM program
  • Demonstrate executive presence and the ability to brief and facilitate meetings
  • Learn the agency mission and strategy, and employ that knowledge while implementing ERM
  • Build ERM tools/instructions, and demonstrate their use
  • Develop briefings and documentation
  • Collaborate and support the broader team to support integration and esprit de corps

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience with a focus on strategic Enterprise Risk Management
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Finance, Business, or Risk Management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience working with federal agencies is a strong plus
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to achieve ERM goals
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint product development
  • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
  • Ability to periodically travel to ABS Group office and client site
  • U.S. citizenship required
