Our O&G operator client is seeking a Recruitment Officer to work within their facilities in Brisbane, QLD on an initial of 12-months casual contract role.

Position: Recruitment Officer
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Schedule: 5/2 & 8.5 hours per day

Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate end to end recruitment for permanent and contingent hires in Australia.

  • Support resourcing requirements through coordination of end-to-end FTE and contingent recruitment processes.
  • Assist and advise hiring managers on the resourcing best practices, including diversity and inclusion efforts, throughout the recruitment process.
  • Maintain recruitment system and process due diligence.
  • Coordination and review of due diligence steps, including psychometric testing, pre-employment medicals and reference checking.
  • Coordination of new hire processes, including onboarding, new starter check lists, delivery of corporate induction and liaising with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding process for the new hire.
  • Support resourcing requirements through coordination of end-to-end contractor recruitment processes.
  • Partner with external resourcing agencies as required.
  • Provide support related to the Early Careers program.
  • Partner with universities to coordinate attendance at career fairs and student society events.
  • Recruit for and actively promote scholarship, vacation programs and graduate opportunities.
  • Bacehlors Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or a related discipline
  • Recent experience as a Human Resources Coordinator within Oil and Gas, Resources or associated industries
  • Minimum 5-6 years' experience in an end-to-end recruitment role
  • Experience in working with external recruitment agencies for contingent workforce assignments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Workday, SAP, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite and desire to learn new technologies as required
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and a sense of urgency
  • Strong team spirit, ethical standards and ability to conduct role with tact, empathy, and professionalism
