Pay Rate: Starting at £35,000 per year up to £55,000 with overtime set up

Monday to Saturday is paid at x1.5
Sunday is paid at x2

Shift Details:
9 day fortnight, with every 2nd Friday off, therefore work 40 hours one week, 34 hours the next.
The machinist roles will be a 2 week rotation days and nights. Nightshift is 4 nights per week, 37 hours. Plenty of overtime available.

NES Fircroft are currently working with an Oilfield Services company who are looking to hire several CNC Machinists to work at their site in Aberdeen on a permanent basis!

Successful candidates will be responsible for the machining of parts to customer drawings, ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed. In addition, the job holder shall ensure all dimensions are checked and dimensional reports are completed.

Useful Experience:

• CNC control (Heidenhain, Fanuc, Giddings & Lewis 8000)
• Experience of operating similar machinery
• Experience with Milling / Turning machines

Ensure raw material is suitable for job at hand and all traceability is maintained prior to machining
Set up parts/material as per tooling sheet/route sheet/program instructions
Ensure correct programs are selected, verified fit for purpose and returned to PED after provingout
Machine parts as per customers drawings or instructions.
Ensure all productive and non-productive hours are booked through ERP system
Ensure handover notes are completed for opposite shift with all relevant information
Ensure all dimensions are checked, verified when required, recorded on dimensional reports andsigned
Update all tooling sheets with current information and return to PED
Ensure good housekeeping at all times
Reporting any non-conforming parts to Supervision and the Quality Department through correctprocess
Participate in 8D Root Cause Analysis as and when required and contribute to work instructionsto ensure continuous improvement in Quality
Assist in investigating, resolving, and finding the root cause of any problems which may becausing non-conformance
Assisting Management in the implementation of all Company HSEQ policies and procedures
Assisting in the training/development of Production Machinists and apprentices
Working with other Machinists, Production Engineers and inspectors to improve manufacturingprocesses
Reporting any methods or procedures to improve Safety, Quality and Efficiency to Management
