The Vice President of Engineering at ABS Consulting leads the growth and execution of a dynamic global operation that provides technical consulting services in the offshore, onshore, and marine markets. This is an exciting opportunity for anybody seeking a senior role in the Company. The VP of Engineering will drive results through collaboration and collective team efforts.

What You Will Do:
  • Set and implement a vision for the organization to be on a trajectory with exceptional growth and sustainable margins over the next 3-5 years.
  • Review and approve pricing for proposals and staffing of existing contracts.
  • Forecast, analyze, and set monthly and annual financial performance budgets.
  • Make final bid/no-bid decisions on capture opportunities with imperfect information in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Manage international office operations and associated costs.
  • Motivate and inspire a leadership team and staff to optimize their performance.
  • Create an environment that spurns innovation and the development of new products, services, and solutions.
  • Address employee relations issues in consultation with HR
  • Create and deliver presentations for executive management and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to win business and deliver on contractual commitments.
  • Providing training and mentoring to leaders and staff
  • Directly and indirectly manage staff with the goal of enhancing professional development and personal growth.
  • Manage relationships with key clients while seeking ways to improve service delivery and maximize business performance.
  • Develop relationships with new potential clients to generate business opportunities.
  • Attend and lead meetings as the lead representative for ABS Consulting, providing our corporate capabilities and key discriminators to stakeholders.

What You Will Need:

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field of study.
  • 10+ years of work experience, with at least five (5) years in project management.
  • Experience in the offshore, onshore, and marine industrial fields.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Highly proficient in PC skills, including Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
  • Fast thinker, quick learner, and team player.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills consistent with a client group, including senior managers and executives.
  • Attentive to details.
  • Ability to manage highly confidential material.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Strategic vision with the ability to execute and perform tactical duties.
  • Impeccable judgment and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions, as well as the ABS Employee Safety Policy.

Reporting Relationships:

This person would report to a senior level Vice President and has direct reports.
